    Free Online Date Calculator

This date calculator counts the days between two dates, adds or subtracts years, months, weeks, and days, and shows the result live — no Calculate button, no page reload. Pick a range on the dual-month calendar the way you would book a stay, and the hero number, breakdown, and week-number column update instantly.

Days between dates, or add and subtract — one page

Switch between Days Between and Add / Subtract without leaving the page. The mode is stored in the URL hash, so a copied link opens the same calculation for anyone you send it to. Days Between is for project length, notice periods, and “how long until”. Add / Subtract is for deadlines: 90 days from today, 14 business days from a contract date, or the last day of the month.

    • Live duration in days, plus years/months, weeks, hours, and seconds
    • Add or subtract years, months, weeks, and days with on-screen steppers
    • Shareable #hash links for either mode

A visual range calendar with week numbers

Instead of month/day/year dropdowns, you get a two-month calendar (one month on a phone) with the same ISO 8601, US, or custom week-number column as the week number calculator. Click once to start a range, click again to end it, or tap the start/end chips to set each date on its own. Weekend days, public holidays, and extra days off are marked so you can see what the number actually includes.

    Business days, weekends, and holidays

Turn on Skip weekends and optionally choose which days count as the weekend (Saturday–Sunday by default, or Friday–Saturday, or any custom set). Turn on Skip public holidays to use the same 24-country holiday list that powers the calendar and countdown tools. Add company shutdowns or bridge days as extra days off. Workday counts then exclude all of those.

    • Custom weekend days
    • Public holidays for 24 countries (statutory days off only; observances are not skipped)
    • Extra days off you add yourself

Movable holidays such as Easter or Thanksgiving are stored as a month/day and re-anchored to each year in the range. That can be off by a few days in some years — add a custom day off if you need a specific date locked in. See the FAQ below.

    Breakdown, export, and share

Under the hero you get every unit, leap days in the range, a day-of-week histogram, and the list of public holidays that fall inside the span. Add to calendar downloads a standard .ics file; Copy link shares the live calculation; Share card saves a result image generated in your browser. Need a ticking countdown to the end date instead? Open it in the countdown tool.

    Fast, free, and private

Every calculation runs on your device. Country, weekend, and day-off preferences stay in local storage — no account, no upload.

Online date calculator help & questions

➥ Open Days Between, then click a start date and an end date on the calendar (or use the chips and presets). The duration updates instantly — there is no Calculate button. Turn on Include end date if you want both endpoints counted as full days.
➥ Switch to Add / Subtract with the control at the top of the page. Pick a starting date, choose Add or Subtract, then set years, months, weeks, and days. The result date appears immediately in the hero, and the calendar highlights the span. Presets cover 7, 14, 30, and 90 days, next Friday, and end of month.
➥ Yes. Enable Skip weekends (and optionally pick which days are the weekend) and Skip public holidays, then choose a country. Extra days off you add yourself are always excluded. In Add / Subtract mode, the Days stepper then moves by working days only; years, months, and weeks stay calendar-based.
➥ When Skip public holidays is on, only statutory public holidays (type: public) for the selected country are skipped. Observances such as Valentine's Day are shown on the calendar but not removed from the count. You can add any extra date as a day off.
➥ Holiday data is stored as month/day and re-applied to each year in your range. Fixed dates (January 1, December 25) stay correct. Movable holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, some regional days) can land on the wrong weekday in years other than the reference year. If you need a locked date, add it as an extra day off.
➥ They use the same ISO 8601, US, or Custom start-day rules as the Week Number calculator, and the choice is remembered across both tools. ISO weeks start on Monday; US weeks start on Sunday. Switch the pills above the calendar to recalculate the column instantly.
➥ Yes. Copy link writes a URL whose hash encodes the mode, dates, and options so anyone opening it sees the same result. Add to calendar downloads an .ics file spanning the range. Share card saves a 1200×630 image generated entirely in your browser.
➥ Yes. Off (the default) is a difference: from Monday to Friday is 4 days. On counts both endpoints, so that same span is 5 days — useful for hotel nights vs. how many days an event lasts.
➥ No. Dates, country, weekend rules, and extra days off are kept in your browser (and in the URL hash if you copy the link). Nothing is sent to a server to compute the result.
